Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit this website and how it is processed. I take the protection of your personal data seriously and handle it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and German data protection law.
Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is the person named in the Legal Notice above.
Hosting & Server Log Files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Server log files are processed on IONOS infrastructure. A data processing agreement (DPA) is in place with IONOS in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
When you visit this website, your browser automatically transmits data to the web server. This includes:
- the page requested
- date and time of the request
- your IP address
- browser type and version
- operating system
- referring URL
This data is temporarily stored in server log files for technical operation and security purposes. Log files are retained for the minimum period technically required for security and operational purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).
Contact Form
If you contact me via the contact form, the information you provide (name, e-mail address, and your message) will be processed solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. This data is not shared with third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (processing necessary for handling your request). Your data will be deleted once the matter is fully resolved, or upon your request at any time.
Embedded Content
YouTube (Google LLC)
Some pages on this website embed videos from YouTube. These videos are loaded using a privacy-friendly façade: the video player does not connect to YouTube's servers until you actively click to play. Only then does Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) receive data, including your IP address. If you are logged into a Google account, Google may associate this with your profile. YouTube's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (your consent by clicking play).
Vimeo (Vimeo, LLC)
Some pages embed videos from Vimeo. Like YouTube, a privacy façade is used — no connection to Vimeo is established until you click play. Vimeo, LLC (555 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011, USA) then receives your IP address and other technical data. Vimeo's privacy policy: https://vimeo.com/privacy. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (your consent by clicking play).
Bandcamp (Bandcamp, Inc.)
Some pages embed audio players from Bandcamp. Unlike the video embeds above, the Bandcamp player loads directly when the page is opened. Bandcamp, Inc. (1 Kearny Street, San Francisco, CA 94108, USA) may receive data such as your IP address and browser information when the player loads. Bandcamp's privacy policy: https://bandcamp.com/privacy. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in presenting music content).
Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access — obtain confirmation of whether I process personal data about you and request a copy
- rectification — have inaccurate data corrected
- erasure — request deletion of your data where no legal obligation to retain it exists
- restriction — request that processing be restricted in certain circumstances
- objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR)
- data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
To exercise these rights, please contact me at the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority in Germany is your local Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz.
